ME319 - Antique chinese enamel on silver filigree

In stock

Interesting old Chinese buttons or beads - probably traditional costume embellishment.  They are made of a thin narrow hollow tube of silver filigree mesh, pointed at one end, with delicate cloisonee enamel panels laid over the filigree work.   The enamel decoration is a floral design, in turquoise, blue and purple enamels and goes round about 2/3rds of the button, the back showing just the filigree. Sewing loop at the narrow end. Date is around 1900.  Size 1" (2.5 cm) long, excluding sewing loop.

Extremely delicate, and rare antique embellishments.  The filigree could be polished by an expert but I have left in original condition as I found them.  Slight dents in the filigree but relatively good condition for their age.  Being sold separately - price is for a single button
