SIL229 - Filigree peasant silver

In stock

A nice example of a peasant silver button - of the "Dutch blackberry" type.  Bunched coiled ring around the central granule, surrounded by a braided wire ring, and then by a circle of coiled rings.  The back is hollow, the petals infilled with "figure of eight" wires. All features of Dutch filigree buttons (see Jane Perry's book on Peasant Silver 3.1.i).  Size 7/8" (2.2 cm)
