Large antique Satsuma button, hand painted with blue and red chrysanthemums. A couple of tiny butterflies hover on the left hand side and in the foreground is a structure - possibly a fence or wheel of some kind - painted black and highlighted in intricate gold lustre. Gold lustre rim. Plain glazed back with unglazed top to the tunnel shank. Slight rubbing to the gilding on the rim, otherwise good vintage condition, and a good large size.
