Antique gilt brass button. Pressed metal design imitating early passementerie with molded threadwork and sequins. The edge is folded over a wooden back which is pierced with four holes, threaded with a catgut shank. Probably late 18th or early 19th century button - a beautiful and rare collectible in good antique condition.
