Antique French picture button, showing the wounded Cuirassier - a scene from a painting by T Gericault with the wounded soldier leaning against his horse. A good detailed image. No backstamp but originally produced at the TW&W Paris factory and this is probably a later version. Two-part construction with brass back and metal loop shank.
