This is not made from an actual coin - although the portrait looks like George 1 on coins, there is no date nor coin denomination on the back and the Royal coat of Arms is a modern one rather than the one used on actual Georgian coins. Vintage/antique button, pressed silver coloured metal in a tall T shape. Metal is unmarked and untested. The image shows a female face, the lower half partly obscured by a veil or scarf, and the forehead wearing an elaborate headband with roses each side. Reminds me of Vienna Secessionist images. Small domed silver button, decorated with panels surround by twisted wire and filled with coloured enamels, in typical colours of red, blue and turquoise. The dome is hollow with air holes on the back. Flat back is attached to a stud type shank with crescent shaped base. Backstamped 84 with another character - a mark commonly found on Russian silver up to the 1920’s. Also found on silver from the Baltic States.
