Victorian picture button, which I think illustrates the fable of the fox and the crow or raven and the fox …. or could possibly be a bird on a branch. Stamped brass image surrounded by rounded rim with impressed pattern. Brass back and loop shank. The back is stamped D W P & Co LONDON, inscribed around the diamond registration mark - which indicates the design is in metal (I at the top), and was registered in 1845 (A below) , in February (G to the left). Dating to first half of 20th century, great vintage style. Remounted on card and scraps of vintage fabric as they travel and store better like that. Two different sizes but same design and colours. Antique enamel button with beautifully painted image of a romantic couple in 18th century costume. This is surrounded by a dark blue enamel border, overpainted with scrolls in gold lustre, so thick the gold pattern is slightly raised. Copper coloured metal back with loop shank. The slank is slightly bent/twisted, but the front is in good vintage condition. Very pretty collectable.
