Interesting antique half buckle, oval shape with pressed steel S-scroll in a double border. This piece is rivetted to the brass back in 4 places. Back has a small split just above the scroll but is held together by the front piece. The back has a bar for attaching to fabric but no other fixing - so perhaps just a faux buckle for decorative purposes. An interesting and decorative piece.
