Antique ceramic Satsuma button from Japan, hand painted with a fierce looking warrior or Samurai figure - or possibly one of the Seven Japanese Gods of Fortune, Bishamonten, with his gold armor and a sword with divided blades. Colourful costume in blue and purple, with a green headdress, all highlighted with thick gold lustre. Usual plain back with raised tunnel shank. A lovely collectable
