Victorian glass button, interesting construction. The centre is a clear glass dome over a black background with foiled checked stripes forming a tartan pattern. This is surrounded by a molded textured glass rim, highlighted with gold lustre and laid over what looks like a foil background. Brass metal back and raised hump shank. Good condition - white spots are reflections of light. An unusual collectible.
