Pair of antique buttons, with mosaic image of a bird, set in a gilt metal ship’s wheel border. This is a mirror image pair - with the birds facing each other, and surrounded by fruit and flowers, made of tiny pieces of coloured glass in a black background. Gilt metal backs and crescent shape stud shanks fixed to the backs. One of the shanks is slightly bent, otherwise in good vintage condition. A charming and unusual collectable set.
