Antique steel button, stamped and pierced design of a star or stylised flower, embellished with cut stees individually rivetted to the base. The cut steels round the rim are alternate round and lozenge shape, with the lozenge shape surrounded by tiny steels individually rivetted. Flat back with thick shank. Slight rust on the back, as shown, but front is nice and shiny. Good quality early button.
