Large Victorian picture button. Shows two children playing, the boy stopping the girl pass. Sometimes known as “Pay Toll Here”, or “First a kiss”. Stamped pierced brass over a black painted metal background, black painted metal back with loop shank. Has different connotations these days but I am sure this was an innocent Victorian childhood button.
