Fabulous large French button/embellishment with all over etched decoration of scrolls and flowers, mostly gilt metal with a few details picked out in a silvered finish. The shank is a single post, approx 1 cm high, with a fixed circle half way up. Above this is a washer which unscrews - so could be pushed through fabric, with the button held slightly away from the fabric. Or could be a draw handle(?) The washer is backstamped DEPOSE, so presumably French. I am not 100% certain that these are technically buttons but very nice quality. Price is per button
