Large Victorian celluloid button with textured celluloid background. This is pierced in the centre by gilt metal star-flower with each petal being a tiny glass paste stone. Fancy molded metal border, with painted flower detail each side. Black painted metal back with metal loop shank. Very small nick to the celluloid near the centre (7 o’clock position) which is magnified in the photo, but still a fine example of this type of button.
