Antique solitaire button, with detachable shank which joins with a spring mechanism. The top is decorated with a lithograph image of a female head in 18th century costume, held in a raised brass rim. Backstamped WESTS PATENT with the GW monogram. Slight dimple to the back and image is a bit faded, but an unusual combination of a lithograph on a solitaire.
