Antique solitaire button, with detachable shank which is released with a spring mechanism. Molded image in high relief, showing the Duchess of Devonshire. Looks like silver plated finish, on copper. Backstamped: WEST & CO - PATENT - THE DUCHESS SOLITAIRE and the registration diamond with the date letter “V” for 1876. Slight rubbing to the silver plate as shown, but a very nice collectable.
