Vintage peasant silver button, with stamped image of a cow under a tree, surrounded by rope border. This is in the style of Dutch silver buttons and there are some marks (see photo 3) but not clear enough for me to read. The image doesn’t have the very fine detail of earlier buttons and the rope rim is part of the stamped image, rather than added separately. So I think this is a 20th century copy, which I believe is silver, but cannot be entirely certain.
