Pair of antique solitaire or bachelor buttons, with detachable stud type shanks which are released with a spring mechanism. They have a stamped brass image, with silver plated finish, showing a bird in flight, in high relief. Brass rim and back. Both are backstamped: WESTS PATENT, plus one has the G West monogram and the other has the setting sun logo. Condition is good but vintage with slight rubbing to the silver plating and one of them has a tiny dink to the head of the bird. Attractive collectable subject, and nice to have the pair.
