Interesting portrait button of the actress in one of her most famous roles, first performed in 1900. L’Aiglon or The Eaglet was the story of Napoleon’s only son who died tragically young. The buttons show a well modelled portrait of Sarah Bernhardt with an eagle border. One-part construction with a silver plated finish, and loop shank on the back.
