Antique mother of pearl button, delicately engraved with a romantic couple - she is whispering to him behind her fan. Scene is surrounded by flowering branches, and a border of scrolls. The etched lines are filled with black paint, while the scrolls are highlighted with gold and silver and the blossom picked out in red. Iridescent white pearl on both front and back. Four-way rounded metal box shank - almost a birdcage shank. . A lovely collectable.
