Antique mother of pearl button, with delicately carved flower centre surrounded by etched ring. Flat back, with orange patch - part of the natural colouration of the shell. Thick loop shank attached to pin which goes through to a metal dot on the front. The delicacy of the carving/engraving, and the thickness of the shank indicate a 19th century date.
