Antique Victorian silver -Mary Queen of Scots? - Birmingham 1899

£20.00

Antique silver button, with a small portrait, which I think is Mary Queen of Scotts, wearing a crown and a ruff or farthingale collar, surrounded by a wide border of foliage inside a circle. Hallmarked (on the back) with maker’s initials L&S, lion for sterling silver, date letter “z” for 1899, and anchor on its side for Birmingham Assay Office. Hallmarks are a little rubbed but still clear.

Size 1” (2.5 cm)
