Antique cast silver button depicting an Art Nouveau style figure surrounded by flowing lines and tiny flowers. She is shown with a finger to her lips - so possibly representing one of the five senses - taste. Flat back with loop shank. Hallmarked with maker’s initials SML, anchor for Birmingham Assay office, lion for sterling silver, and date letter “c” for 1902. Very pretty
