Late Victorian silver button, with stamped image of a winged cherub, playing a stringed instrument, surrounded by scrolls. Hallmarks: maker’s initials LE, lion for sterling silver, date letter “Z” for 1899, and anchor for Birmingham Assay office. Some signs of wear commensurate with age, and would benefit from a gentle polish, but I have left as found. A charming collectable.
