Charming cast silver buttons, with image of two children sitting on a stile, under a parasol, in the style of Kate Greenaway - known as Summer. (Ref BBB Plate 191, p648.15). Hallmarked with the maker’s initials JMB, lion for sterling silver, wheatsheaves for Chester, and date letter either “A” or “B” for 1901 or 1902. Flat back and loop shank. There are 4 others in better condition, listed separately, and priced accordingly. These 2 each have a bent or squashed shank, as shown, but still collectable even in this condition.
