Silver mythological figures - London import marks 1902

£15.00

Antique silver button, depicting what looks like two figures both clasping the one spear, surrounded by molded rope border. Probably a mythological or neo-classical scene. Continental silver, with hallmarks: lion for sterling silver, date letter “g” for 1902, F for foreign or imported silver, and leopard’s head for London Assay office. Loop shank. A good size and interesting image, though not as clearly defined as some English silver buttons.

Size 1.2” (3 cm)
