Antique silver button, with full English hallmarks. Pierced design of a thistle and a rose. Marks: maker’s initials TW, lion for sterling silver, leopard’s head for London and date letter “f” for 1901. Probably some patriotic reference as 1901 was the year Queen Victoria died, and the thistle and rose being the national emblems of Scotland and England. Slight signs of wear commensurate with age, but the marks are nice and clear.
